How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease
Symptoms:
Â
Fatty substances like cholesterol and cellular waste, calcium, and other substances build up in the inner lining of an artery.  This significantly reduces the blood flow through the artery. Â
Â
This blockage can become dislodged and block a vein. Â When it blocks a vein going to the brain, stroke is the result. Â When they block veins that supply the heart, a heart attack happens. Â This is said to start in childhood for some individuals. Â Inflammation is attributed as the cause.
Â
The Drug Prescriptions:
Â
Antiplatelets: these reduce heart attacks, stroke and blood clots by preventing platelets from sticking together and clotting. Â Side effects can be diarrhea, itchy rash, abdominal pain, vomiting. Â Aspirin may cause gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney and liver toxicity. Â Ticlopine (Ticlid) may lower white blood cell count. Â These drugs have adverse interactions with, vitamin E, fish oil, ginko biloba, and alcohol. Â It also depletes vitamin C, vitamin b12, zinc, and folic acid.
Â
Nitrates: These drugs dilate veins to provide quick relief of heart pain. Â Side effects are constant throbbing headache, increased heart rate or palpitations, nausea, and vomiting. Â Major cautions are dizziness and weakness due to a drop in blood pressure. Â Alcohol is dangerous with these drugs and vitamin C should be taken with them.
Â
Oral Anticogulants: These drugs dissolve blood clots. Â Side effects can be pain, purple toes, rash, hair loss, bloating, diarrhea, jaundice, bleeding gums, bleeding from the urinary tract, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Â Major cautions are the bleeding that can occur in any organ and gangrene. Â You should ask your doctor about vitamin K supplements while taking these also.
Â
Statins: these drugs work by lowering cholesterol.  Potential side effects are headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, rash, weakness, and muscle and joints pain.  Major cautions are liver failure.  Grapefruit can’t be eaten and vitamin A and B3 should be talked about with a doctor.
Â
The Natural Prescriptions:
Â
Tocotrienols: Clinical studies have shown this nutrient to reduce plaque in arteries and to reduce cholesterol.  It reduces triglycerides and inflammation of artery walls, promotes dilation and flexibility of arteries, improves blood flow, changes cholesterol to a form that does not promote plaque formation, and lowers your blood pressure.  If you’re going into surgery, discontinue use 10 to 14 days before.
