Best Natural Oils to Prevent Further Hair Loss

Causes

Loss of hair may be caused by catarrh, nervous diseases, fevers, worry, mental disorders, skin diseases, injurious tonics, eczema, and anesthetics.

Many people think that hair loss is the result of “too much” testosterone.  This is not true.  It is mainly attributed to testosterone converting to DHT and rising estrogen levels.

Genetics play a role in balding, but the main cause is a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) within the hair follicle.  DHT is made from testosterone and an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase. The enzyme is produced in the prostate, adrenal glands and scalp.

This enzyme increases as we age, degrading the hair follicles, and shortening the growth phase of the hair.  Many hair follicles shrink and produce thin hair, and some simply die and produce no hair at all.

Testing for a Cause:

·        Thyroid Imbalance: saliva, blood or urine test

·        Permeable intestinal wall: urine test

·        Vitamin and mineral deficiencies (especially iron): blood test

·        Heavy metal toxicity: hair and urine test

·        Parasites: stool analysis

General Notes:

A tea made of marshmallow leaves and thoroughly applied to the scalp will do much to prevent falling hair.

Also taking Maca root powder is said to help with andropause.

My hair is falling out in the front area of my head. I need to know what conbination of ingredients will help promote hair growth. I read in a book called “Back to Eden” by Jethrow Klause that mixing sage and boric acid promotes the growth of lost hair. Is this true? If so, how much of both products do I use and how long do I need to boil it? Also, do I need to purchase the root of the sage leaves?

    I shall await your reply.

I haven’t found anything about sage and boric acid.

I would simmer the herbs for 5-30 minutes, the harder the plant the longer you may want to simmer it.
