How to Stop Nightmares

Anyone who eats a heavy meal or midnight super is likely to have nightmares.  They are caused by overloading the stomach just before bedtime, and are made worse by sleeping on the back.

No food should be taken for 4 or 5 hours before bedtime, as it normally takes about this long for the stomach to empty.  Anyone who has frequent nightmares should sleep on his right side or stomach.

Children troubled with bad dreams, sometimes termed night terrors, frequently have trouble digesting their food properly.

If they are bothered by constipation, they should be given herbal laxatives.  They must have a well balanced diet.
